Help reading old record 1846
Can anyone out there help to read or interpret these naval military words/names?
This is the "Profession" field from my 2g grandfather William Baker's Portsea record from 1846.
He was in the British Marines. You can see the word Marines, but what does the rest of it say? A ship? A rank?
